Olivia May Cornwell
Olivia's interior collection is designed for people and aims to capture beauty and joy. Her work focuses on a personal painting style and bold use of colour.
Hope is deep rooted and becomes a way of life; a rhythm. In the same way, landscapes capture rhythm and repetition, and have done since the beginning of time. Despite the chaotic world which we find ourselves surrounded by, nature, in all it's simplicity, remains the same. Landscapes of Hope is a collection which brings together aspects of nature and land, and offers an opportunity to escape.
Designed with Maggie’s Centres in mind, the fabrics and surfaces created for this collection aim to capture life and beauty amid hopeless situations. Offering practical support for those living with Cancer, Maggie’s strive to provide retreat spaces for individuals and families.
Through the exploration of landscapes and formations of the Peak District, this collection explores a painting style through bold gestures and marks. Painted compositions and a contemporary palette have been used to bring joy and a smile to someones day.
At the heart of this collection there is an invitation to engage. An opportunity to pause, to create and reconnect with the world and with each other.
I would like to thank everyone at Maggie's for the support and inspiration they have given to me whilst designing this collection. I am continually encouraged by your work and impact to people lives around the UK.
