Shauna Claire O'Boyle
A collection of printed textiles for high end womenswear, spring/summer 2021.
My collection is inspired by the poem Goblin Market by Christina Rossetti, written in 1859. I wanted to explore the gothic style, focussing on gothic literature and architecture. Using themes and imagery from the poem I have brought it to life via fashion collection of dramatic garments with a combination of illustrative and textural prints.
This project highlights my strong drawing skills, especially with fine-line. I have imagined my own mythical creatures and drawn how I think they look, which shows innovation within the collection. The project also conveys my ability with colour and application of prints.
I am excited to be graduating from Loughborough and hope to find a job where I can stay creative and keep trying new things.
