The Apothecary Garden line-up
Basilicum screen printed length
A relaxing tea made with holy basil leaves can be used to relieve anxiety, therefore, this loose and free-flowing foliage print - in its soothing palette with a pop of energising orange - aims to relax the senses, providing an escape from day-to-day life.
This design has been printed onto 2 meters of hand-dyed natural linen.
Chrysanthemum
This digital print combines hand-drawn illustrations of chrysanthemum flowers - amongst other flora and fauna - with painterly textures inspired by water surfaces found in nature.
Folium
Depicting medicinal herbs that can be used to remedy and relieve the effects of stress and anxiety, 'Folium' is a digitally printed geometric in vibrant - yet liveable - colours.

Botanica / Kinver
'Botanica' is a vibrant print which depicts flora and fauna I photographed on my daily walks in lockdown. For me, this print defines the concept, and demonstrates how the human relationship with nature can be so beneficial for our mental health. The application of colour within this print aims to provide an escape, and brighten the home.
'Kinver' - again - explores wildflowers seen around the Midlands countryside, which have been layered onto a hand-painted textured background, and digitally printed.
Plate IX
This wallpaper print has been inspired by the scientific illustrations seen in historical botany books. Ylang ylang essential oil is used often in aromatherapy to relieve the symptoms of anxiety and to relax the mind, therefore this bold and eye-catching print aims to provide a distraction, whilst beautifully decorating the home.
Interior setting
My designs have been visualised in a mid-century modern country home, however the collection is applicable to many interior spaces, and aims to be liveable and appealing to a wider audience who may relate to the concept.
Georgia Rose Prosser
An interior print collection exploring the use of natural remedies for those with mental health concerns.
My work mostly derives from the natural world - healing botanicals, and medicinal herbs - whilst exploring the topic of mental health, and highlighting how the human relationship with nature can remedy and relieve the effects of stress and anxiety.
The colour palette divides the collection into two stories - one which aims to provide relaxation and escape through use of natural colours - subtle blues, and neutral tones; and the other which is energising, with application of bold, bright colour to large-scale floral motifs.
I have a good eye for colour, along with a strong ability to illustrate and draw from observations, and I love to see how initial concepts and sketches can really come to life on fabric.
The illustrations within 'The Apothecary Garden' explore medicinal herbs and healing botanicals; however I have enjoyed experimentation with expressive painterly styles when creating textures inspired by nature's undergrowth. These paintings and drawings have provided the foundation for a series of screen printed fabrics, and digitally-rendered prints. Though I love screen printing by hand, this project has allowed a greater exploration when working with Photoshop and Illustrator, and I now have a confidence in producing digitally printed fabrics.
