Augmented reality visual landmine mapper
Fossil VLM concept video: https://youtu.be/p6Jd_Sh0EYI
This was a user interaction and experience design project. I created designs for an augmented reality Hololens application that would allow users to see scanned landmine data as 3D models and interact with them. I created my 3D models in software such as Autodesk Maya and used Adobe After Effects to create animated concepts.
I applied the fluent design system for mixed reality and focused on lighting, motion, materials, scale, depth and perspective; This had to be considered across all parts of the application including the user interface, interactions and models. One of the most rewarding parts of this project was the 3D / AR terminology I learnt, whether it was lighting with ambient occlusion or 3D modeling with diffuse maps.
Commercial fishing application
Tidee is an e-commerce application for fishers. This was a user interaction and experience design project, I used UX design theory such as user flows and empathy maps to prototype my application. I also used Adobe XD, Illustrator in this project.
Augmented reality visual landmine mapper: 3D viewer
This shows the user interacting with a duplicate hologram of the landmine 3D model.
Augmented reality visual landmine mapper: Selecting sites
This shows the user selecting a group of landmine models to visualise.
Commercial fishing application: Prototyping
I used sketching to quickly layout my design ideas. Adobe XD was my digital prototyping software for this project which allowed me to animate prototypes and perform user tests easily.
Commercial fishing application: Artwork & branding
This project also included some branding elements, I created a logo in Illustrator along with several illustrations and patterns for the application.

I like disruptive technologies, branding, innovative ideas and experience design.
Over the course of my years at university I have enjoyed exploring innovative and disruptive experience design ideas. With the skills I possess in sketching, and those I have developed in both Adobe's Creative Suite and prototyping software, I have been able to present visual material for my ideas. With the rise of augmented reality technology new ways of developing user experiences are becoming available, such as motion control and spatial mapping which was the premise for my final project.

Experience
I completed freelance design work for a number of businesses during 2018/2019 including a cosmetics start up called AR Aesthetics. I worked on brand collateral and developing brand identity. This experience gave me an insight into the business of design and helped me to develop my overall communication skills.
