Spirits of the Sea - Ghost Fisherman vodka
A new spirit range with an additional purpose to make a toast; creating a memorable and recognisable experience of telling the story surrounding ghost fishing, by pouring a cocktail. Looking to challenge the status quo in design, purpose and serving of alcohol.
The brand is driven by values to help raise awareness and reduce the problem that is ghost fishing. This is where commercial fishing nets are lost or dumped at sea. The nets account for 10% of plastic in oceans, as well as killing or injuring 650,000 marine animals a year.
Book cover re-design; A live brief set by Penguin
To create a cover design for the book; A Short History of Nearly Everything, A Journey Through Time and Space, by Bill Bryson. The design aimed to be smart but accessible, as this is a science book with popular appeal. The cover has a timeless feel, confident and aims to appeal to a whole new generation of readers. The book is the biggest-selling popular science book of the twenty-first century, and reveals the world in a way most of us have never seen it before.
Candle packaging; A live brief set by Oliver Bonas x Fedrigoni
Using Fedrigoni paper and card, the brief was to design the packaging for a new SS20 range of Oliver Bonas candles.
Four designs that work together as a collective, looking at what Mother Earth has to offer, colours of our ground, plants and animals. To get the customer to take a break, look around and listen, learning to connect offline again.
Spirits of the Sea range
Each bottle is based off a different marine environment, depending on its depth, Ghost fishing has affected all underwater environments and different sea creatures, as illustrated on the bottles.
Ghost Fisherman rum bottle
The packaging of the bottle is made of recycled fishing net, so as not to add to the problem of plastic in the sea. This will also help advertise and promote the idea of recycling plastic in the sea.
Oliver Bonas x Fedrigoni candle packaging
Craft, thoughtful, wellness, warm and calm designs; the print created for this range is all hand cut paper, then finalised on photoshop.

I aimed to transport the viewer to the habitat shown on the packaging, with layered lids for the target audience to discover the bird candle within.
Aimee Pearson
Within my design work, I like to combine a variety of media to create a layered and illustrative design.
My style is based on my enjoyment for hand illustration, mainly working with a pen to build up my designs. Bringing in different media, such as paper cutting, or reworking my pen or paint illustrations aided by digital programs, to create a new and organic aesthetic. I am drawn towards projects with nature or environmental based backgrounds, as I enjoy creating outcomes that promote the beauty in natural forms, that could be used on a variety of products.
