Bethan Audley

Throughout my project, I have aimed to create large scale casts that portray my memories and experiences. The gloomy and quiet visuals of my work have effectively captured this. The work of Rachel Whiteread has greatly inspired me; not only her everyday casts, but her memorials. I have a gained new skills while working with latex, as it can be challenging to remove a clean cast on a large scale. The change from working in our University studios to the dining room back at my home has not stopped me from working in a professional manner. While being a student rep during my second year, I have developed my own ability to work under pressure through supporting my peers. My career aspirations have always been to teach art, but to also continue creating my own work in a studio environment.
