Community housing - final illustrations
A social media campaign focused towards an Instagram post for the charity Shelter. The visuals and copy are to inform, raise awareness and support for the social housing crisis in the UK. Therefore by doing so promote the benefits of social housing and dissuade the negative stereotypes and connotations social housing currently has in the UK.
In the final project the illustrations are intended to be viewed on social media therefore are animated in the final version.

To go along side the illustrations from my research I created these slides to accompany them to inform the viewer.

Family - photography project, Japan
When studying abroad in Japan at Joshibi University of Art and Design, I took a photography module. In the class we were assigned to create a photograph centred around the theme of 'Family'. At first I wasn't sure how to approach this theme as at the time I was so far away from own family but on my way to the bus station I saw the bikes shown in the photograph and felt the way they were lined up in the different sizes representing each family member, representationally depicted 'family'.

Bright future - illustration project, Japan
Alongside taking photography I took illustration classes at Joshibi University of Art and Design during my study abroad in Japan. Japanese illustration has been a major influence and inspiration to my work and one of the reasons I wanted to study there. The project theme was 'Bright future' and my response to this was four images that depicted connection, trust, love and fun in bright, block colours. The idea behind these four elements was I felt you needed these for a 'bright future', something I had to explain to my teacher and classmates in my limited Japanese. I felt 'connection' and 'love' were the most successful illustrations.

Logo redesign - logo design project, Japan
During my final semester in Japan I was tasked with redesigning an existing corporate logo. I chose Twinings Tea to redesign. The logo depicts a ship sail, tea leaf and tea cup.

'Don't go down the mine, Dad' - illustration project
In semester one of my final year at Loughborough I created an illustrated booklet based on a song about miners called 'Don't go down the mine, Dad'. I used the lyrics to create the images which I made into lino cut prints depicting the child that the song is from the perspective of.

Imogen Pask
During my time at Loughborough I have come to understand my strengths and weaknesses in greater detail and how to refine my process to create work. I intend going forward to further my passion and interest for illustration, animation and relief printing by continuing to make work for myself and to build my portfolio for prospective employers. I have included work from my study abroad in Japan which was an invaluable experience to my learning and progression as a creative, I hope to return to Japan in the future.
