Jane Hunt

Jane utilises her strong painting and photographic skills to create innovative screen printed and digital designs rich in colour and texture. Evoking the atmosphere of the natural world guides Jane's design work.

‘The Water’s Edge’ is an A/W high end interiors collection, inspired by the fleeting moments of nature at the edge of water at Stowe Landscape Gardens. The collection explores the transient motion of water ripples, evanescent sighting of kingfishers and the plant life by the water. The project looks to explore the impermanence of life with its ever changing motion and fleeting moments. Meditative movement of the water alludes to tranquility as the viewer becomes mesmerized in the reflections. The collection combines ethereal photographic imagery with hand rendered marks from painting, monoprinting and lino cutting to evoke the feeling of the water’s edge. The collection is intended for a boutique chateau with prints designed to create a calming atmosphere.
