Miharu ice cream marketing

Miharu ice cream marketing

Since we’re a little new to the scene, we’ve devised a promotional marketing scheme to get our name out there and introduce the people of San Francisco to the Miharu experience. Our first promotional campaign, “ice cream is a playground” will mainly be broadcasted digitally, as in the age of the Coronavirus, digital media is being consumed now more than ever. The campaign aims to truly capture the essence of Miharu, which is the notion that ice cream keeps your inner child alive and there is a beauty in experiencing the world with the curiosity
of our little brothers and sisters. The campaign plays around with different riddles and questions that would
immerse our target audience in an innocent world, transporting them to a time when ice cream meant so much more than a guilty indulgence.

Miharu ice cream marketing - Promotional Instagram filter

This is a promotional AR filter displaying a floating ice cream scoop similar to the one in the promotional animation. This allows the audience to "collect" scoops and by tagging the brand's Instagram page and redeem selfies for discounts. The audience is able to have a fun experience with the brand story as well as promote it by posting it to their profiles.

Natasha Sajan

My name is Natasha Sajan and I'm a graduating VisCom student at Loughborough University. My design style is bright, quirky and full of character. My final semester project, 'Miharu Ice Cream' embodies my style and design motivations.

Minimalism and concise contemporary design will always have a place in this world and is very important, but as a designer, I like it when things are different, kitschy, and full of heart. These past 4 years have taught me to design, but above all else, it’s taught me to persevere, as in the middle of every project I carried out, somewhere along the way my skills caught up with the vision I had for myself as a creative in this big world. This entire 4-year experience has also solidified my love for animation, which is definitely going to be my biggest takeaway from my time on this course. For my final project at Loughborough, I've been able to create my favourite work so far, which is an animation for a new and upcoming ice cream brand called Miharu, a new ice cream brand based in San Francisco. Creating this made me realise that I love it when a design is innocent and makes you feel strongly, and I can’t wait for the rest of my career if it means I can do so much more of the same. My greatest aim at the moment is to seek employment at an animation studio and further grow in the area of design I love the most.
