For my final animation I used an animated technique called Rotoscoping, which involves drawing over individual frames from filmed video footage.

Women in strength: social

Animation frame showing the community of women's strength sport. When coming to university young women look to form new relationships and find their social group. Joining a sports club or trying a new sport can do this and provide huge mental, physical and social benefits to an individual.

Sabrina Rew

I am an animator interested in creating emotive moving images and animations.

I have a particular interest in creating animations and exploring how to make drawings come to life with the use of movement. For my final year project I decided to create two, six week projects that are personal to me. My first animation is called "A dog will love you when you can't love yourself" it is a story that shows the huge benefits of owning a dog to bring love and friendship and how they can help peoples mental health and well-being.
My second animation is based on my sporting passion of strength sport, I have created an animatic to promote women's athletic ability in strength sports. The animation is specifically made for a social media campaign to encourage young women to participate in sport and show their ability to rebel against gender norms.
