My series is based upon the poem ‘Because I Could Not Stop For Death’ by Emily Dickinson, using a Japanese manga narrative.
My Artwork is digital, created using digital art programmes such as Paint Tool Sai, Procreate and Photoshop. The art style itself as well as the pane arrangement on Image is inspired by Japanese Comics called Manga. Artists who I have references and influenced my Art Style and direction are Mangaka such as Masashi Kishimoto, ONE and Naoko Takeuchi. The narrative itself is taken from the Poem ‘Because I Could Not Stop For Death’ by Emily Dickinson. My Career aims are to become a commissioned artist, or to work in a field involving art.
